Stephan's got whatever daddie had a week or so ago. Uncle Dan got it, then Papa & Nana got it and now Stephan's got it. I'm sincerely hoping I'm not next. Yesterday he threw up all over daddie in Target near the end of our grocery shopping trip. Andy headed out to the car to clean up as much as possible in the parking lot and I flew through the checkout line (thankfully there was one open with no one in front of me!). We drove home to the odeur of hurl and got everyone cleaned up and the groceries in the refrigerator that needed to be there and pretty much crashed.
Stephan, who earlier didn't take a nap (he decided it was way more fun to climb on the big bed in his room and look out the window or open and close his doors), crashed at 5pm. Not a good time for nappy! We woke him an hour and a half later even though he was none too happy with us just so we could have him fall asleep again about an hour later :)
I ended up sleeping some with him on the recliner after midnight and then moving into his room a couple hours later with him in his crib and me in the big bed. He woke at five with an ouchy nasty diaper which I think we changed before creating any worse diaper rash. He had a hard time getting back to sleep so when he woke up again at six I just asked Andy to take him while I tried to get more sleep since we were supposed to work in the church nursery this morning. A few minutes after I passed off the kid he threw up again and thus ensued yet another clean up in the bath and since he tagged the rugs we are now washing those and I swept out the bathroom too. So no more sleep this morning and no nursery. We called and told them it isn't a good idea. While I'm not sick I don't want to chance passing on the bug to a poor 9-18 month old or their family!
I hope to take a nappy today with Stephan since I think I'll need it quite badly as the day wears on. And no more milk either, we're trying to get the kid to drink water, and maybe a little bit of gatorade, but he's not having any of it. Hopefully he'll work with us to keep himself hydrated so he can get healthy again.
Hope today isn't as bad as I fear it will be!
